P.R.I.D.E (Parent Resources for Information, Development, and Education) is a pre-service training required for all prospective adoptive parents in the state of Florida. It is a 9-week course designed to provide prospective adoptive parents with knowledge and skills (also referred to as competencies), to have a better understanding of the child welfare system and help children who have endured trauma heal and grow from their past experiences.
We provide an expedited training offered in a weekend format for families who cannot commit to the traditional 9-week training. Our training is interactive and informative to help prospective adoptive parents become competent and confident in their ability to provide a healing home for their child. At the end of the course, you will receive a PRIDE certificate that is valid for 5 years.
